Scope

Energy issues are more and more impacted by changes in commodities markets. Commodities markets have recently experienced huge price volatility, which implies new challenges for practitioners and policy makers. This phenomenon could reflect: i) changes in traditional factors (supply, demand, and market structures); ii) a liquidity effect; iii) an increased role of complex financial products.

In this context, the objective of the Conference is to address new analysis for commodities market, policies and supervision. Theoretical, empirical and policy-oriented contributions from researchers and practitioners of energy issues are welcome. A non-exhaustive list of topics is:

·         Commodities market design;

·         Relationships between commoditiy markets;

·         Risk Management strategies in energy markets;

·         Market structure and competitive dynamics of wholesale and retail energy markets;

·         Valuation on multi-energy instruments;

·         LNG and shale gas markets.

Keynote Speakers

Prof. Derek Bunn, London Business School, Chief Editor of The Journal of Energy Markets.
Prof. James L. Smith, Southern Methodist University, Editor of The Energy Journal.
